The dreaded exercise thing is going pretty well. I don’t think I have more energy as a result yet, but I kicked my butt out of bed the last three mornings in a row and went running. Well, mostly walking because I am so incredibly out of shape. I’m on Week 4 of the C25K program and I can’t run that last five minute stretch.

Good news is that I got up at 6:15 this morning. I think getting up at 6:45 for the last three days has helped that. And look at all the stuff I’ve accomplished so far:

  • Downloaded the new Matchbox 20 album, North. I had no clue Matchbox was coming out with a new album untiil I saw them on the Today Show yesterday. I’m so excited! They’re a great band, and I hope I love this album just as much as I love the previous ones. One of my all-time favorite Matchbox songs is “If You’re Gone.” The line, “It feels like your hand is on the door” resonates with me. I love the imagery of it, and it really imparts the emotions and story of the song.
  • Disabled comments on my LiveJournal account. I’ve been getting so much spam from that old account lately! I need to just delete it, but I was at LJ at the beginning of my writing journey and I don’t want to lose those memories. I need to archive everything to my computer somehow, but I’ll figure out how to do that later.
  • I’ve written a blog post! See, it’s right here! As long as I push the Publish button it is. And yesterday, I wrote a post at my group blog about public speaking for authors. The week is off to a good start. I’m looking forward to writing! I think/hope/pray I’ve made it past last week’s mental block and I can get 10k written this week. *crosses fingers*

Hmm. That doesn’t look like I’ve accomplished much. It feels like I have, though, and I still have at least a half an hour until the boys wake up!
