I’m feeling kind of productive today. I spent the morning writing with a friend at Panera Bread. Got about 800 words written, which isn’t bad for me. We’re going to make this Panera thing a weekly ritual. Yay! Getting out of the house and the vibes from another author who’s hard at work on her own book is good for me. I don’t get distracted by laundry, menu planning, cleaning, and organizing.
I finally booked my flight for Coastal Magic Con today.
(Sidenote: I hate American Airlines. When they tell me a flight is $300, that flight should be $300. I shouldn’t be forced to pay extra for actually having a seat on that flight. (I’m sure this is partly my fault for booking so late, but still. Just tell me the actual lowest rate of a flight WITH A SEAT that you can give me so I can compare it with other airlines. *eye roll*)
If you live anywhere near Daytona Beach, Florida, you should really look into coming to the con. I’m excited about it! So many awesome paranormal authors will be there, and at $40, it’s one of the most affordable reader-author conferences out there. The other great thing about it? It’s not ginormous like the RTBooklovers Convention.
Registration for Coastal Magic Con ends this week, so if you’re interested, sign up now.
That’s all I have on my schedule this year, but it’s enough. It’ll probably be a while before I travel to a conference again. I need to get a new book (or two or three) published!
