The husband and I will be attempting potty practice this week.
Potty practice. We can’t call it potty training. If we do, Toddler B will think we’re going on a train ride. There will be tantrums if we tell him he is wrong.
That’s my big, stinky plan for this weekend. I’m already looking forward to Monday. I need to have a more productive week. This one was okay. I had a ton of non-writing work stuff to do – release time will do that to you – but I did get some words written. I kind of got distracted and wrote a bit on a very cool urban fantasy idea I have brewing in my head. It’s easier to write because I only have to worldbuild in that story, not universe-build. I didn’t realize just how difficult universe-building was.
I should write a post on the difference between worldbuilding and universe-building.
Anyway, I’ll be able to concentrate on writing next week. I’m looking forward to it! I’m so, so anxious to make my urban-fantasy-in-space all awesome and shiny.
oh my. good luck!!
I think it might go well with one of the boys *crosses fingers* but the other is so hard-headed. I’m afraid! lol
Just remember, it’s okay for them to hit milestones at different times. Also, what works with one may not work for the other. Most importantly, remember there has never been a “normal” functioning college student pee his pants in class… Wait, that’s probably not true. You get my point I’m sure. Much luck!
They are DEFINITELY hitting this milestone at different times. They both did so well over the weekend, but Toddler A refuses to go potty at school while Toddler B has been perfect. Ironic, and kind of aggravating because the whole reason I decided to try this now is because Toddler A gets such bad diaper rashes. He was also doing so much better than B at the beginning. *sigh* Well, he’s always been my high maintenanced kid. He’s lucky he’s so darn cute.
SO funny you are doing that this weekend because I am going to attempt the same thing with my 2 1/2 year old boy. So far he has not been interested at all! Going to use M&M’s as bribery!!! ha ha
Bribes are awesome. We’re giving two mini M&M’s and it works wonders at home. One of them is doing awesome at school; the other is back in diapers at school. 🙁 How is your potty practice going?
