Today is a happy release day! Honor’s Knight, the second book in Rachel Bach’s Paradox series is now on my Kindle!
I raved about the first book, Fortune’s Pawn, in my Goodreads review. I’ve been waiting for this sequel since I finished this last page of the first book. I even pre-ordered it, I was so excited. I almost NEVER preorder books. But Fortune’s Pawn was that awesome. It was everything I look for in a book – hot, mysterious hero, strong and smart heroine, awesome plot, spaceships, action, and romance!
I can’t wait to read Honor’s Knight. I want more books like this. If you’re a fan of Linnea Sinclair (you have read her books, haven’t you?), you’ll love this. And this is exactly the type of book I want my current project to be. I want to appeal to this same readership, readers who want smart, capable heroines, fast-paced and intriguing plots, lots of action and a good, heavy dose of romance. Crikey! I get excited just listing off all the awesomeness.
GIVEAWAY
And because I’m so excited, and because I want to shove Rachel Bach’s book into every reader’s hands, I’ll giveaway a copy of winner’s choice of either Fortune’s Pawn or Honor’s Knight (you definitely want to read the first book first). Just leave me a comment telling me what you love about sci-fi romance, or if you haven’t read any sci-fi romance, why you haven’t tried it yet. I’ll choose a winner on Friday.
(Just FYI: I use affiliate links in this post. But all my opinions and excitery is genuine and my own. )
I like scifi romance because….. It’s fun!
It IS fun!
The one other sci fi romance series I read, I really enjoyed. So, I’d be interested in giving this a try too.
Julie
Ooh, which series have you read?
I love the idea of blending bad-A sci-fi awesomeness and the romance, which I normally don’t read by itself. I haven’t read many series yet but I’ve been meaning to get my hands on this series since it came out!
Yeah. I love a good heaping of romance in my action/adventure. I think sci-fi is perfect for that setup.
Hi! You’re my giveaway winner for a copy of either Fortune’s Pawn or Honor’s Knight. Send an email to sandy AT sandy DASH williams DOT com with your address and which book you would like. Thanks!
The space elements is relly fun and fast paced!! And I am IN LOVE with Rupert!!!
(I live in Brazil, don’t know if it is an international giveaway)
thanks Sandy!!
RUPERT’S MINE!
Ahem. I mean, yeah, Rupert is great.
Haven’t tried a lot of sci-fi, I should definitely read more in this genre!! Awesome giveaway Sandy!
Yes! Definitely give it a try. I think it has a lot in common with urban fantasy – lots of action, strong female heroines, and, in this case, romance!
I’m not participating in the giveaway but I wanted to thank you for making me discover this series in one of your newsletters. I loved Fortune’s Pawn, it was a great mix of action and romance with some amazing characters. Honor’s Knight is on its way to my mailbox and I can’t wait to read it. It was my first try at sci-fi romance but I really enjoyed it and I’ll be looking for other books (Linnea Sinclair perhaps) and hoping that yours comes out soon 😉
Oh, great! I’m so glad you saw the rec in my newsletter. I always wonder if anyone finds them helpful. So glad you loved it! And, yes, do try Linnea Sinclair. The first book I read by her was Finders Keepers. It’s one of my favorite, but so is Accidental Goddess. Gabriel’s Ghost is also excellent, and it’s the start of her Dock 5 series. Honestly, all three of those are really, really good places to start with her books. Let me know if you give them a try!
I like romance but most of the time it’s very predictable. I love sci-fi romance because you never know what’s going to happen next.
Great point! Straight up romances are very predictable, and I find that a lot of them lack the danger and kickbutt-itude I’m looking for in my books. Sci fi (and urban fantasy) gives me that.
Love romance, love the anything can happen in space!
Yes! ANYTHING can happen. So much fun. 🙂
