Yall probably haven’t noticed. After all, if you’re here, it’s likely because you already read the books (unless you’re here because of the anomaly novels, and if you are, I adore you!). But you can’t find an electronic copy of McKenzie’s books online anymore because…
I got my rights back!
I’m so excited, you guys. I have plans to re-release the trilogy at the end of the month. I’ve had to reformat the interiors, and I’ve had to get new covers.
The last part kills me. I was blessed by the Cover Gods with those three books. I absolutely hate to lose them, but the new covers are pretty awesome too. I’m still working to finalize one of the covers, but I’ll be sending them out in my next newsletter (hopefully next week!). I’m really nervous about them. I hope you all don’t hate them!
Edits on the new urban fantasy are finally going well. The first half of the book was a lot messier than I remembered. This half seems to be better written, and there are some scenes that I really, really love. I’ll be looking for betas and review team members soon, so if you’re interested in that, be sure to sign up for my newsletter.
It’s been a good first quarter of the year. I’ve been reading a lot lately—well, a lot for me, at least—and I’ve found some fantastic books.
What have yall picked up lately that you’ve loved?
I just finished the Court of Thorns and Roses series, it was angsty young adult and really good for YA. Urban fantasy is still my favorite, books like the Charley Davidson grim reaper collection, anything by Stephanie Myers or Ilona Andrews! And currently I’m reading Janet Evanavich and Lee Goldberg’s Fox and O’Hare series.
A Court of Thorns and Roses was soooo good! Have you read her throne of glass series? I’m a little over halfway through and had to stop because it’s so terrible and awesome. I have to plan the right time for the next book, a time when I can put life on hold for a day or two and have time to cry. Her books always hurt so good!
I did read the thorn of glass series and the new covers look great! Though I still have the old covers on my nook. Did you change the content? On the first three? It has been the series I still can’t wait to see how you move forward. Your people were in quite the pickle at the end of book three!
And I forgot to mention Patricia Briggs, I am currently going though her two most popular series again.
Glad you like the new covers! And, nope, the content didn’t change. First three books are exactly the same except for the covers. I’m not sure if I’ll write a fourth book. I know what happens next–it’s super cool and fun and end-of-the-realm dangerous–but I have other projects I need to finish. One of these days, Real Life will stop being so distracting and I’ll get more books written!
And I love Patricia Briggs! I’m behind on both Mercy and the Alpha and Omega series. Every time I read another book, she writes two more and I get more further behind. lol They’re great, though. 🙂
Loved, loved POLARIS RISING by Jessie Mihalik (thanks for the recommendation!) and am currently reading The Verdant String books by Michelle Diener and enjoying the premise.
Looking forward to your new cover reveal!
Yay! I’m so glad you loved it! I can’t wait for the next one.
I tried the first Verdant String book, but for some reason, it wasn’t holding my attention. I might need to give it another try. 🙂
